In the first grocery store i went to, i was looking at vegetables and all of the sudden there is a huge rat running across the ground into the food and then runs back out. IT WAS HUGE. A woman told someone who works here and the person who worked there just shrugged her shoulders!
Anyways, when i got back to the apartment, the people who went to the shuk were back. We then started to prepare dinner. We started to chop vegetables for the salads. I attempted to cut cucumbers and carrots. By the end of the trip i will be a pro (hopefully)! I gave up and decided to read "The Time Traveler's Wife" and after a little i decided to take a nap. Rach woke me up asking if i wanted to shower, because if so i had to get up and take one. I forced myself to get up and took a shower (it was almost hot, and then it got cold). I got ready for shabbas and then we went to shul. The services were a little long, but it wasnt terrible. Someone gave a long sermon though and a lot of us were really bored because we had no clue what he was talking about! I then decided to try and listen for the words i knew and guess what he is talking about. that was kind of fun. When we got back we had a GREAT shabbas dinner. so yummy. We then went into someone's apartment and just hung out, talked, and played games for a really long time. it was so nice! it is 1:20 and i want to go to shul tomorrow. shabbat shalom!
btws, what were the sermons the rabbis said for rosh hashanah? and let me know about the yom kippur ones!! (otherwise i wont be hearing any sermon...i am assuming all of the sermons given during yom kippur will be in hebrew....)
