We then had time for lunch and today a lot of us just ate in our apartment. I had a turkey sandwich..thank hashem for lunch meat! (steph i wrote that sentence for you because i know you wanted to know what i had for lunch). and right before we had to go guys who work where we live came and added so many more cupboards and another fridge!!!! yay! we also got a counter and some tall chairs to sit in. it looks awesome! soon i will post pics on a web albumand i will have pics of where i live.
everyone then had to meet up in the same place and we got split up based into our volunteer places. i wont start working in the classrooms until thursday though because on sunday i have a tutorial and on wednesday the teachers are having a tutorial on how to use us in the best way. im so excited!!!
Then shevet had a meeting so we could finally learn what we would be doing. we have an extra class and optional classes. we also have so many more events...i cant remember all of them. it was annoying though because people just are so rude! THEY DONT SHUT UP! i dont understand why they keep on talking to their friends! our leader had to stop so so so many times because people were talking. im so happy i chose to do shevet though. We are going to be getting a schedule soon. there is so much to remember! once everything starts though, im sure ill remember when i have what. After the shevet meeting i went on a run with britty. can you believe it...i ran?!? and i actually kind of enjoyed it! we went up a huge hill and then went to a park and did some crunches. it was not very sanitary but there was no where else to go!
after taking a freezing cold shower, listening to some mike posner, and just hanging out, i ate dinner (shnitzel again...it's so good!!!) and got ready to go to ben yehuda street again.
People from year course were going to this one club so we went there. Everyone was giving us different directions so we were walking back and forth. We finally found it but the club was lame. After a little while of getting 2nd hand smoke, we started to realize that this club seemed like a homosexual club. maybe it is normal/how israelis dance? do guys in israel enjoy dancing with each other?? we ended up leaving at like 2am and i finally got my ice cream!!!! it was so so so so soooo good! we then got in a cab and went home. when we were walking to the gate the same israelis we have seen every night was there. they brought some of their friends but idk if they recognized us. They wanted us to smoke and drink with them...but we just ignored them and kept on walking. One kid kept on getting down on one knee and proposing to us. the security guard was so annoyed with them! when we got back we hung out for a little/chatting with friends and family from home. we then finally got to bed around 4am. it was a fun night but i do not think i can do that every thursday night. oh i forgot to say....I WORE MY CLUBBING SHOES :) but i brought flats and ended taking off the heels when we were in ben yehuda street. so i didnt get to dance in the club with my clubbing shoes. but i promise i will do it at least once before i come home!
I love all the detail!! I get such keen sense of it all. Can't wait to see some pics. I am glad to hear you are all smart young women when it comes to dealing with the local BOYS. Keep up the great dailies...they make me smile.
