THURSDAY:
Yesterday(!) when we all woke up, I finished watching Alice in Wonderland with Katie and Rachel. Then we got ready and left to meet Moran at 12ish on emek refiem for a birthday breakfast for her!! On the way, we wanted to buy her a birthday balloon, but the closest thing we could find was this big balloon we blow up ourselves. It was huge. When I was carrying it to café café, it popped. It was a loud pop and Katie finally screamed like a girl! We almost all cried. We picked up the pieces to at least show her. Rach and I split a muesli and French toast. It was so nice just talking with Moran. She is not our madricha, but our friend. I’m gonna miss her a lot, but it is nice to know that I have made my own Israeli friends. We got her a belguin waffle for a birthday dessert and after breakfast we all walked to beit ar-el and Rach was there for a little, but she left to meet her cousin for coffee. Katie and I stayed there for most of the day. When we got our passports, Boaz wasn’t in, so I wrote him a note in Hebrew. It was weird how easy it was to write a note to him in Hebrew!!
After getting kicked out of different rooms, I find Katie in our old apartment (not the shelem one) and cleaning it up for them. I blogged. We were there for hours. Rach came back and around 5:30ish we left and went to sushi bar on emek refiem. We split 2 combinations and it was so so so good. I don’t really feel guilty about going out for meals now that there isn’t much time left. When we got back to Katie’s (which was really fast) they went to some friends’ induction ceremony, but I decided to stay back with Naomi and while she watched a movie I napped. When everyone came back around 10ish, I showered and we didn’t go out until close to midnight. We hung out with Yoni for a little and then saw some of our random friends and the soldiers that we met on a siyyur and boombamella (they got inducted that night). We also saw this kid who is friends with Gabi and Cara, and he told us he is leaving on Sunday. It was so shocking and Rach and I were so upset. It was weird to know that this was the last time we would see people and the time has come. The year really is almost over. We got back around 4ish-I was so tired, but excited to see Boaz the next day!
