SATURDAY:
On Friday we didn’t go to bed until way past one. We had to wake up at 7, because breakfast started at 7:30. Most of us didn’t get out of bed until 7:30. Oh, I forgot to mention that all of us slept in the same room, like a hostel. It is weird how surprisingly I wasn’t weirded out or uncomfortable with that. Jessica Curhan is growing up! Haha. After eating breakfast and chilling because we didn’t need to go anywhere until 8:30, we split up into 2 groups. We then do the same thing. By then we are starting to get a little bored and tired. We do a couple and then we are done for the day! We nap for a little and then go to lunch. After lunch we watched some auditions but mostly just messed around with each other and ate food. After packing up our stuff we went to the staff room and they had such good food! When we were all really full we went outside to be on the grass. It was nice out. There was this little cat meowing like it was really hungry. We all felt so bad for it and so we fed it some crackers and then Katie cut the top off of a cup and gave it milk. It was so thirsty. I think Israel is starting to make me like cats! Oh no!! I don’t like them enough to want one, but I no longer am freaked out by all of them. Except for some of the sketchy ones in Bat Yam that are either double jointed in their leg or missing an eye!
Then we played uno and just did ridiculous things. We made human pyramids, but when we got 4 people on the bottom we ended up collapsing. It was so funny. We were all overtired and just losing our minds. After a couple of hours of this and then sitting on the grass and playing hodgie podgie (I taught everyone), we got on a bus that would take us back to tel aviv. There were no more seats next to each other, so Katie and I couldn’t sit together. Also, the only seats left were in the very back. All we wanted to do was sleep, but the Israelis were so loud. I was so annoyed with them. Then we were the last ones on the bus, so I got to sleep for a little then. The public bus was not a pleasant ride. I was so hot and it was crowded. Also, there was a man trying to get with monica…I think he had some sort of problem, but it was still a bit scary. When I got home I was so exhausted and not in the mood to talk to anyone. After a little bit of alone time, I was fine and just hung out with my roomies before going to bed at like 11. Although I was exhausted it was such a fun weekend because now I'm friends with some tzofiem I wasn't really friends with before. Yay!
you are sounding more like a, dare i say it, camp counselor! look at you teaching and leading group activities. wow jessica wendy or yael vered - however you identify!! and, you tolerate cats now...that's ok. we still don't want any at home though. very good karma is flowing. ha.
