FRIDAY:
On Friday I woke up at 8:30, Rach woke up then too because she was going to check out IDC. So cool. I went with Shir and Maya to the elementary school they volunteer at for the school’s purim party. I dressed up as a ballerina and Shir and Maya dressed up as geeks (which then turned into Glee characters). There were some good costumes and Maya was put to help students decorate masks, while Shir and I were to dance with the kids. We did the macarana a couple of times-Shir said that she does it every day between breaks!!! Hahaha. No one really danced with us (we were doing dances to songs with a teacher.) When we gave up, the kids put on Tik Tok and then all of the 6th graders (who are SO cool and rule the school) started singing and dancing. The rest of the time it was hip hop music. There was some candy, but we only got 2 sour candy things. We took a couple of pictures together and then before leaving I took some with the security guard and Shir and Maya. So funny. After that we went out for breakfast at Café Café and I got the Museli. Yummm. I then came home and showered and got ready for Shevet weekend. When we got there there was not many people. Not many people ended up coming this weekend-I liked it!

The bus ride was like 40 minutes, we stayed at a hostel in Ein Gedi. When we got there we had some time before lighting candles for Shabbas. I napped—so so so cozy. Then after services we had dinner and then went back to where we had servies for tish. We talked about what is the haftorah about in this parsha. It is about Amelek. Why do we read it this week? This is because Haman was descended from Amelek. We also talked about wine and how the fertilizer for good wine comes from sheep, monkey, lion, and pig (basically referring to how one acts once they have wine.) Rach was hilarious. After tish we hung out for a bit before going to bed around 12:30ish.
