Today I woke up around 8:45ish to get ready for my first day of school! I had yogurt with granola/cereal and left the apartment around 9:30ish. With Cara speed walking I got to ulpan in time. To mine and Cara's surprise...our old ulpan teacher (Idit) from jerusalem was there!!!! We hugged her and talked with her. She is so great. She is in charge of the ulpan in arad. Omg, I am so happy. It makes me so happy to see her. There was only 6 students in my class. We were a bit nervous when we saw our teacher, but I really like her. She knows english, so at first it was a little annoying how she spoke english, but as the lesson went on she stopped speaking english. I like it so when I have a question, she will know what I am asking. I bonded with her about the big brother. The ulpan started at 9:45 and ended at 1 with a 15 minute break in between. It wasn't too slow...
After ulpan (i wrote my homework in my little green planner notebook!!!) we all walked back and after hecticly making our lunches (bumping into each other, throwing things in the microwave, banging our heads on the freezer), we all had a nice lunch. My first schnitzel with a carrot and pita and hummus in arad. Yum. After watching the beginning of "The Hangover," we had to go to our 1st class, which was Jewish Medical Ethics. He came late. He is a bit of a weirdo, but the class is kind of interesting. The next class was called Basic Jewish Concepts and was really hard to not be bored in. The teacher is also a bit weird. It is going to be a long couple of weeks. When class was over we all got locked in the building. that's safe.
Then rach and I got our laundry together (about 3 weeks worth) and walked to the laundry place. There was a huge line, so we decided to go back to our apartment to grab our detergent and fabric softener, which we forgot. On the way back we both got ice cream. I havent had my fav kind of ice cream in so long! It was nice to be reunited with it (maybe better than being reunited with dad and noah? jkkkkkkk!) We were with some brits who I usually find annoying, but it was entertaining to be with them. Rach and I finished doing our reading from our 1st class. Woo hoo!! After 2 hours and the people waiting for us to finish so they could close up, Rach and I walked past some sketchy men...yeahhhhh....and then we came to our apartment. We missed our apartment meeting (Shai said it was fine) and then when we came home we found him smoking hooka with some people in my apartment! Smoking in the apartment is not allowed. Boys sleeping over is also not allowed. He is chill and funny and werid funny.
Lori was on the air for her radio and she did a shout out for me. What what in the butt (as Cara says.) I then showered, put away some laundry and did my hebrew homework. Ugh so many people i need to have vid chat dates with...heading to bed at 1:09.
