FRIDAY:
On Friday we had to wake up at 6 and we had some nescafe/hot choco for an early breakfast before leaving to go walk to beit ar-el to catch a bus that was supposed to leave at 7:20. None of us wanted to get out of bed because it was so cold!! When we got to beit ar-el, no one was on the bus and everyone was just waiting outside so katie and I went in and then found where miki was sleeping and woke her up! We had a nice/funny convo with her before going on the bus to go to the Judaean Hostel which is now occupied by Australians. Then I past out on katie until we got to a JNF made forest area. I immediately met this woman named Penina who lived in an area whose sister city was bloomfield hills. She was really nice, just like the rest of the women. Mom-you would have LOVED this place. We got into 6 groups based on finding our other "animals" (i was a cow) by making our animal noise. Then we did different group activities to make us bond. Some of the women were a little crazy-but so great. After group activities and meeting each other we had lunch which was a huge pot luck and was so so sooo good. Then for the rest of the time it was just one big dance party which started off with drums. Before we got back on the bus, we got a gift bag from Desert Queen that was really nice and one of the things we got was a haggadah!! I can't wait to show you it, Mom. Then after dropping of the aussie's I noticed how we were basically at Boaz's house. I don't know how I didn't realize it before, but he lives like 2 minutes away from the Judaean Hostel!! Hahaha.
When we got back to Beit Ar-El we hung out in mike's room and our apartment for a bit. Shelem boys are living in our old apartment! And, guess where yoni lives...not only in my old room, but IN THE SAME BED AS ME!!! (I knew you would appreciate that, Mom!) Then after hearing Nathan play piano, we left. Oh, before we went into our old apartment, we played on the piano for a bit and then katie did "Doe a Deer" in a really high voice ("that note was off!") After walking home, Rach and I took a nap for a bit. I then woke up and showered and then Boaz picked me up to take me back to his house. We then went with his family to Shabbat dinner at his Mom's parents' house. Ah it was so nice and not nerve wrecking at all. I didn't even sweat or have a red face (partially because I was sun-burnt.) I was introduced to everyone and they were all so nice. I sat next to Boaz and his dad and his dad would put everything on my plate! Everything was so good-but for real. Oh, before we sat down for dinner, Boaz's dad told me that I have to speak to Mikey (Boaz's brother) only in english so he can work on it. He told me that he ran in the 10k marathon that my friends ran in! After helping clean up I sat down and then his youngest cousin (his whole family all looks alike...it's crazy!) was jumping all over his uncle named ron and he kept on saying "ron" "ron" really loud and enunciating the "r" and ah it was so cute!!! Then he started to talk to me and I would just smile because I had no clue what he was saying to me. I just liked hearing his cute little 4 1/2 voice speak hebrew!!
I then played cards with him. I thought we were playing war, but basically he would just take my card and he would give me his. Each time, though, he would give a minute long reason why he was doing what he was doing. I would just smile and say okay. One thing I understood was when I had a king and he had a queen, he got the king because he is a boy and I got the queen because I am a girl. Sometimes I would pretend to argue with him and then one time he started cracking up and told me my hebrew isn't good!!! After we played for a bit and Boaz took over, he was eating his candy bar and offered me half of it! Boaz's mom told me that he has a crush on me. So cuteeeee! Then as a big family they watched Friday Night Live (I know, I know, it isn't called that.) Boaz and I were lying down on the floor and then Yoav came over and grabbed a pillow and lied down right next to me. He was talking to me and then we built some card houses together. Before he left he was asking me when he can come to my house! I told him how I don't live in Jerusalem and I think he kept on telling me that he doesn't pee in the bed anymore or something to deal with "pee-pee." So cute. I was exhausted from the day and listening to hebrew and trying to watch the show. My fav part of the show is the women working at the department store and they fold all the clothes and do it to the song "Tik Tok."
After the show was over and saying bye to everyone, Boaz's parents dropped us off in town and then we met up with some of his friends and then Rach and Cara. It was a fun, nice night. I was just so tired! Boaz and I didn't get to bed until 4ish.
